Dead Mint - This instrument looks unplayed as even the pickguard has no scratches. All the upgrades are inclusive with this model such as wide grain Adirondack Spruce top that starts tight in the middle and flares to wide at the bouts, Adirondack braces, no tongue brace, enlarged sound hole, 1 23/32’’ nut width, bound fingerboard with no inlay, thru saddle & SM Fire pickguard. This is the top-of-the-line Collings Mahogany guitar and as one would expect it has all the power, tone, balance and sustain. This one projects an extremely nice warm loose sound with all the registers clean, clear and precise with no drop-off. Basically a new instrument with “open” older sounding credentials. Very powerful with lots of punch and extremely clean sound. Responds in an instant with lots of headroom. Nice warm low end and blasting midrange along with precise high end and will eat a microphone up. This one is meant to be heard and will be heard. Don’t see many like this one.
