Built on the 30’s highly desirable era with extremely flamed Maple resonator & neck, Grundy 20 hole tone ring, Grundy one piece flange, and tension hoop are all bell brass and not gold plated, Maple 3ply steamed rim, 5/8’’ Maple bridge with Ebony insert, Presto traditional brass tailpiece & armrest, triple bound resonator & Ebony fingerboard, gold tuners with Ebony buttons, intricate detailed peghead inlay of Confederate Solider with 2 flags one on the left is the second national flag of the Confederacy known as the “stainless banner” and the one on the right is National Macon Guards North Carolina 22nd Regiment. The writing around the star says May 20th 1775 To May 20th 1861. The 12th Fret Inlay is the CSS Virginia, the first steam powered Ironclad of the Confederate Navy. All inlays on the headstock and fingerboard, are exquisitely hand cut from finest quality shell, abalone, nickel and copper. The sound of this instrument is very impressive with that deep bouncy vintage tone and is extremely powerful in delivery, lingering sustain, and quick easy playing comfortable neck.
