Very powerful with lots of punch and extremely clean sound. Responds in an instant with lots of headroom. Nice warm low end and blasting midrange along with precise high end and will eat a microphone up. This one is meant to be heard and will be heard. Don’t see many like this one. Mint - Spectacular AAA quarter sewn Brazilian Rosewood back & sides with orange tint and black streaks, outstanding Adirondack Spruce top that is tight in the middle, flares to wide grain and back to tight grain at the bouts with beautiful “Bearclaw,” Adirondack braces, 1 ¾’’ nut width, bound fingerboard, bound headstock, drop-in saddle, gold Waverly tuners, varnish finish and Tortoise grain pickguard. Be prepared to be hit with a sledge hammer when you strike the strings as this beauty contains pure power and tone. This is a total “roaring” machine that leaves nothing behind. Want power, tone, balance, sustain, headroom, beauty, rarity, well its all here and the power will crumble concrete. Graded AAA old growth Brazilian & varnish finish highly desired and rare to obtain. A total domineering “beast” in all registers and is one of the strongest sounding Collings we have encountered.
